"The Secrets of Blueberries, Brothers, Moose and Me is the prefect, gripping summer read. The tone of the writing is light and perfect for sunny afternoons while you are kept riveted by the plot as the book evolves. It is the perfect mix of summer enjoyment pleasure reading and yet also a book that isn't just a float along a paved path. There are still some rocks waiting ahead! I would recommend Blueberries, Brothers, Moose and Me to a wide variety of ages because it is an easy enough read for middle level readers but written well to engage more advanced readers. The book follows a 12-year-old girl as she finds her way through one crazy summer that involves a marriage, the lake, sour feelings and, of course, Blueberries, Brothers, Moose and Me!"

"With its quick switches between narrators and detailed imagery, this book amazed me and kept me turning the pages as fast a I could. Salt to the Sea describes the battles between Russia and Germany during World Was II and is narrated by four young adults as they attempt to sail to a safer part of Germany. Ruta Sepetys has created characters that are so real you feel their pain, in this incredibly devastating, historical fiction novel."

"I would recommend the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants to any summer teen reader. Four best friends have varied plans and want to stick together in some way. They use one pair of pants to bring them to each other in this fast, enjoyable read. To my surprise, this book also brought a few tears to my eyes even though the majority of it is written in a lightish manner. Don't worry though, there are still some intense moments that keep the book interesting."
